And we have a new car!!!!

Tina picked up her new car today! Gwendolyn is a 2007 Toyota Yaris. The Yaris is the car that Toyota chose to replace the Echo. It would be the silver one in the middle there! Hehehehe

She runs like a dream, rides like she is a Mercedes or something, and is amazingly roomy for being a sub-compact car. We took her out for a spin this afternoon just to break her in. She has really great pick up for having such a tiny little engine. Apparently she is designed to give maximum performance with as little output as possible.

Here she is when she first sat in it. They had it prepped and sitting in the showroom on a little red carpet! It was too cute!

Here is Ian, her salesman, showing her how the center cockpit works. Her speedometer and tachometer and fuel gauge are in the middle of the dashboard not behind the wheel like everyone else. It's kind of weird at first, but then, once you get used to it, it's actually quite nice.

I think Gwendolyn is the cutest thing! Funnily, she looks just like Angela, my silver Neon? Hmmm, must be a family thing? LOL!

Anyway, I'm thrilled for Tina, she needed a car, desperately. She has two jobs and one of them has her starting at 4am sometimes and the other one has her working till midnight sometimes. She really needed a car in order to work her jobs. Good for her.

Oh, Gwennie, gets about 34 miles in the city and over 40 on the highway. Not too shabby, huh?

Hubs' exwife just bought a new car (I can't remember what kind) and the speedometer/tach are in the center too. I think it just makes it easier for the passenger to realize just how fast the driver is going. LOL.
